  • I think that Iraq is a good example of a relatively poorly armed insurgency having quite a large effect on an occupying force. The coalition forces are having serious trouble suppressing the insurgency. The insurgents don't have tanks, they have stolen/home-made explosives and the ubiquitous AK-47.
